About the Faculty
School of Medicine is one of the oldest schools at Islamic Azad University, Najafabad Branch that started to work in February 1986 with 27 students and the first graduates have entered the Health Care System in 1994. This school succeeded in 2004 to obtain the license of establishing a school from Development Council of Ministry of Health and Medical Education. The Medical students pass their clinical course in the affiliated hospitals to Insurance Company and Isfahan University of Medical Sciences.
The school has now the following majors: Family Health, Public Health and Medicine in three levels (discontinuous Associate, continuous Associate and professional Doctorate) with 52 faculty members and 826 students. So far, 3140 students have graduated from this university.

School of Medicine at Islamic Azad University, Najafabad Branch aims to educate knowledgeable students with up-to-date knowledge adapting the related requirements of society’s health through attracting elite students relying on capable professors and developing the most efficient syllabus to become one of the superior universities in the region.
Mission
Since healthy person is the center of sustainable development, School of Medicine at Islamic Azad University, Najafabad Branch has considered maintaining and promoting the society’s health as its prioritized mission and educates capable and committed physicians through appropriate opportunities of learning, committed and experienced staff and innovative syllabus. The students in this major as forever learners fulfill the society’s needs with their appropriate clinical, research and educational skills as well as familiarity with the health needs of the country and region. In line with this fact, these people contribute the health service system through inter-profession collaboration with other members of health team and according to new achievements of medical field, evidence-based knowledge and customization of transnational knowledge.
General Purpose
The general purpose of the faculty is providing and promoting society’s health through educating capable and committed physicians who are capable of providing prevention, treatment, educational, research, consulting and management services.
Specific Purposes
The specific purposes of the faculty are:
- Educating students to provide the patients with services regarding integrated educational strategies
- Educating committed, skillful, knowledgeable and creative students in educational domains through responsive educational strategies
- Promoting the students’ problem solving skills in order to change the learners into forever learners with clinical reasoning training strategy
- Nurturing critical thinking and self-directed learning skills with self-regulatory educational strategies
- Developing and promoting students’ skills emphasizing on using modern technology and motivating them to continue self-study and promotion in medical profession with self-regulatory educational strategies
